Privacy
This is a plain-language description of what Gifted does with personal information. A lawyer has not signed off on it.
What Gifted stores
Gifted is a place to keep gift lists for people you know. An account needs an email address. Sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication. Your password is not stored in your lists or contacts.
If you add contacts, Gifted stores the name, email, phone number, and notes you enter.
Lists store the occasion, the items, and who is a member. A change log records activity on a list, such as creating the list or inviting someone.
Children are managed recipients
Gifted does not give children their own accounts. A child does not sign up, and Gifted does not ask a child to agree to these pages.
You can keep a list for a child by adding them as a managed recipient: a name on the list, and no login. You choose what is written about them, and you are responsible for it. People you invite can see that list according to their role. The person the list is for does not see who reserved or bought a gift.
Who can see it
People you invite to a list can see what their role allows. Gifted does not sell personal information.
Delete your data
While you are signed in, open Settings and type the email address on your account. Gifted then deletes your sign-in, your contacts, and your memberships. This cannot be undone. If you own a list that has a co-owner, the co-owner who joined first becomes the owner and open invites stay usable. If there is no co-owner, the list is left without an owner and its open invites are cancelled.
List activity you recorded stays, so the other people on a list still have a history. Your name on that activity is replaced with “Deleted user”. A managed recipient keeps the name you entered for them.
